The GOP wants billionaires to have extra money before they would ever think about nutrition or a book for a child. The GOP will deny 100% of health care because they dislike a legal and constitutional 2% that does not involve public money.
“I want to speak to a manager,” the middle-aged woman said in her stern I-used-to-be-a-soccer-mom-ten-years-ago voice, looking down at me over the top of her Gucci reading glasses.
A wicked grin split across my face and the gates of Hell opened up behind me, releasing a gust of hot wind that whipped my apron around my body and forced the woman to shield her face. Demons came forth, dancing around in flames with songs of, “She wants to speak to a manager. Did you hear that? She wants to speak to a manager!” before erupting into earsplitting shrieks of laughter, none louder than my own cackling.
I took in the woman’s look of utter horror before my eyes rolled back into my head and I growled,

segregation didn’t even end in 1954. it took more than a decade of legal battles and federal enforcement just for it to start to take hold. it wasn’t until the 60s/early 70s that desegregation actually went into effect in many places in the south.
Add in the fact that school districts aren’t actively desegregated anymore, because it’s a “post-racial” nation. Unofficial social segregation has reinstated an education gap in many districts across the nation.
Does my doctor have his own doctor? If so, can’t I just ask his doctor who HIS doctor is and so on until I follow the chain to the world’s ultimate doctor?

Minimum-wage workers fell by 5%.
Average CEOs increased by 937%!
