I was reminded in a note from squoose about the anthrax attacks right after the September 11th attacks. It’s easy to forget this because it was 14 years ago and it happened so soon after 9/11, but it’s yet another example of how George W. Bush DID NOT keep the country safe despite the lies that the Republicans are trying to get people to believe.

Seven days after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, anonymous letters laced with deadly anthrax spores began arriving at media companies and congressional offices. Over the ensuing months, five people died from inhaling anthrax and 17 others were infected after exposure.
