Tales of gruesome escalator accidents lead many to question the safety of China’s escalators.

Free Market Think:

Let the market fix the problem.  If enough people die / are mangled in horrible escalator accidents they’ll stop going to that shopping mall.  That will force the shopping mall to spend money to make their escalators safe.
